The Honourable Keith Colwell was first elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly as MLA for Eastern Shore in 1993 and was re-elected in 1998. He was then elected as MLA for Preston in 2003, re-elected in 2006 and 2009 and again in 2013 and 2017 as MLA for Preston-Dartmouth.
He has served as Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture and Minister of Consumer Services as well as holding many other cabinet posts.
Keith has owned and operated a manufacturing company for 19 years. He was elected to the Halifax Regional Municipal Council to represent District 3, Preston/Porter's Lake in 1999 and was re-elected by acclamation in 2000.
