Honourable Chuck Porter
Honourable Chuck Porter was first elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly as the MLA for Hants West in 2006 and was re-elected in 2009, 2013, and 2017.
He has served as Deputy Speaker, Ministerial Assistant to the Minister of Finance and Treasury Board (Tangible Capital Assets/Infrastructure), Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, and Minister of Municipal Affairs.
From 2004 to 2006 he served as Councillor for the Town of Windsor and prior to his election he worked as a paramedic and a staff development supervisor for the communications division of Emergency Medical Care Inc.
He is a member of the Internal Affairs Committee. He is also a member of the House of Assembly Management Commission.
