An Act to Dissolve
the Bridgewater Museum Commission
Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:
1 This Act may be cited as the Bridgewater Museum Commission Dissolution Act.
"Commission" means the Bridgewater Museum Commission, a body corporate, incorporated under the Bridgewater Museum Commission Act;
"Town" means the Town of Bridgewater.
3 (1) The Commission is dissolved.
(2) For greater certainty, any board established by the Commission is dissolved.
4 (1) On the coming into force of this Act, all property, rights, liabilities and obligations of the Commission vest in and become the property, rights, liabilities and obligations of the Town.
(2) After the coming into force of this Act, all gifts, trusts, bequests, devices and grants of property, or income or proceeds from property, given to, made to or held in trust for the Commission are deemed to be given to, made to or held in trust for the Town for the use of the Town.
5 The books, records, documents and files of the Commission are deemed to be the books, records, documents and files of the Town.
6 After the coming into force of this Act, the Town may bring or maintain in its name any action, application or other proceeding, or exercise any power, right or remedy, that the Commission was, could have been or could have become entitled to bring, maintain or exercise on or before the commencement of this Act.
7 Chapter 59 of the Acts of 1989, the Bridgewater Museum Commission Act, is repealed.
