An Act to Expand Home Efficiency Programs
to Small Landlords

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Efficiency Program Expansion Act.

2 In this Act, "small landlord" means a landlord who owns, directly or through a corporation, fewer than 20 rental units and who has no more than 12 rental units in a single building.

3 Subject to Section 4, the Government shall expand its energy efficiency programs to small landlords.

4 The money required for the purpose of this Act must be paid out of money appropriated for that purpose by the Legislature.
