An Act Respecting Solar Panels
for New Government Buildings

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Solar Panels for New Government Buildings Act.

2 Subject to Section 3 and any applicable Building Code or safety requirements, the Government shall ensure that any Government-owned buildings in the Province that are being constructed on, or that are constructed after, the coming into force of this Act have solar panels installed on their roofs.

3 The money required for the purpose of this Act must be paid out of money appropriated for that purpose by the Legislature.
