An Act to Expand Breast Screenings
for High Breast Density Patients

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Expansion of Breast Screenings for High Breast Density Patients Act.

2 Subject to Section 3, the Minister of Health and Wellness shall ensure that all patients diagnosed with category C or D breast density are provided with a referral to receive an examination by ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging within six months of the diagnosis.

3 The money required for the purpose of this Act must be paid out of money appropriated for that purpose by the Legislature.
