Explanatory Note

This Bill requires the Minister of Finance to introduce a supplementary Appropriations Act where additional appropriations have been authorized or a special warrant has been issued.

An Act to Amend Chapter 2
of the Acts of 2010,
the Finance Act,
Respecting Supplemental Appropriations

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2010, the Finance Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 29 the following Section:

29A (1) Notwithstanding anything in this Act, where additional appropriations have been authorized under Section 27 or 28 or a special warrant has been issued under Section 29 during a fiscal year, the Minister shall introduce a supplementary Appropriations Act when the House of Assembly next sits after the end of that fiscal year setting out the amount appropriated or the expenditure or expense incurred.
