An Act to Stop the Burying of Plastic
in Nova Scotia
1 This Act may be cited as the Stop Burying Plastic Act.
2 The Government's goal is to eliminate the practice of burying plastic in the ground in the Province.
3 (1) Subject to subsection (2), with a view to achieving the goal outlined in Section 2, the Government shall complete or commission a feasibility study on using plastic waste to create energy.
(2) The money required for the purpose of this Act must be paid out of money appropriated for that purpose by the Legislature.
