Explanatory Note

This Bill expands the definition of "front-line or emergency-response worker" in the provisions respecting presumptive benefits for workers diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder in the Workers' Compensation Act to include workers carrying out child-protection services.

An Act to Amend Chapter 10
of the Acts of 1994-95,
the Workers' Compensation Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Subsection 12A(1) of Chapter 10 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Workers' Compensation Act, as enacted by Chapter 16 of the Acts of 2017, is amended by adding ", worker carrying out child-protection services" immediately after "officer" in the fourth line of clause (a).
