This Bill requires the provincial health authority to publish quarterly certain information in respect of each hospital and to publish annually a capital expenditure plan.
An Act to Amend Chapter 32
of the Acts of 2014,
the Health Authorities Act,
to Require Quarterly Reports
and an Annual Expenditure Plan
1 Chapter 32 of the Acts of 2014, the Health Authorities Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 60 the following Section:
- 60A (1) The provincial health authority shall publish for each hospital, at least quarterly,
(a) the percentage of patients admitted to an emergency room who had or did not have a primary care provider;
(b) for each emergency room in the hospital, the registration-to-admission target wait time and the average registration-to-admission wait time for each day;
(c) the number of alternative level-of-care patients and long-term care patients who are awaiting placement elsewhere;
(d) the percentage of beds in each ward or hospital floor occupied by alternative level-of-care patients and long-term care patients who are awaiting placement elsewhere;
(e) the average wait time between intake appointment and admission to mental health community-based programs or services, identified by at least the 50th and 90th percentiles; and
(f) the percentage of patients admitted to mental health community-based programs or services within six weeks of an initial appointment at the hospital in respect of a mental health issue.
(2) The provincial health authority shall publish annually a capital expenditure plan, which must include an estimate of deferred maintenance needs.
