An Act to Provide Dental Health Care
for All Nova Scotian Children

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Subject to Section 2, on or before April 1, 2014,

(a) the Minister of Health and Wellness shall amend the tariff of fees established by the Minister pursuant to the Health Services and Insurance Act and authorize payments in respect thereof; and

(b) the Governor in Council shall amend the Insured Dental Services Tariff Regulations made pursuant to the Health Services and Insurance Act and approve the Minister's authorization of payments as set out in clause (a),

to change from 14 years to 17 years the age at which the payments in respect of the tariff and the coverage under Schedule B (the Children's Oral Health Program) to the Regulations end.

2 The money required for the purpose of this Act must be paid out of money appropriated for that purpose by the Legislature.
