Explanatory Note
This Bill amends the Liquor Control Act to add a provision that permits persons to import or cause to be imported wine into Nova Scotia from another province if the wine is for their personal consumption and not for resale or other commercial use.

to Permit the Interprovincial
Importation of Wine
1 This Act may be cited as the Interprovincial Importation of Wine Act.
2 Chapter 260 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Liquor Control Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 77 the following Section:
77A Nothing in this Act prevents a person from importing or causing to be imported wine into the Province from another province of Canada if the wine is for that individual's personal consumption and not for resale or other commercial use.
