Explanatory Note

This Bill amends the Elections Act to provide that the expression "long-term care facility" includes a hospital, thereby permitting a mobile polling station to be established for a hospital under Section 91A of the Act.

An Act to Amend Chapter 140
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Elections Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Section 24 of Chapter 140 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Elections Act, as amended by Chapter 43 of the Acts of 2001, is further amended by adding immediately after subsection (1) the following subsection:

(1A) In clause (b) of subsection (1), a "long-term care facility" includes a hospital.
