Explanatory Note
This Bill prohibits the sale of cigarillos that include flavouring agents other than a few listed exceptions.
An Act to Amend Chapter 14
of the Acts of 1993,
the Tobacco Access Act
1 Section 3 of Chapter 14 of the Acts of 1993, the Tobacco Access Act, as amended by Chapter 12 of the Acts of 1999, is further amended by relettering clause (a) as clause (ab) and adding immediately after that clause the following clauses:
(aa) "cigarillo" means a cigar that may or may not have a binder and that is 120 millimetres or less in length;
(a) striking out "or" at the end of clause (a);
(b) striking out the period at the end of clause (b) and substituting "; or"; and
(c) adding immediately after clause (b) the following clause:
4 Chapter 14 is further amended by adding immediately after Section 14 the following Schedule:
tobacco, including tobacco extracts and reconstituted tobacco
