Explanatory Note
This Bill prohibits the levying or collecting by Halifax Regional Municipality of local improvement charges for work done in 2006 on O'Connell Drive in Porters Lake.
An Act to Amend Chapter 18
of the Acts of 1998,
the Municipal Government Act
1 Chapter 18 of the Acts of 1998, the Municipal Government Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 536C the following Section:
536D Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act, the council of the Halifax Regional Municipality may not impose, fix or collect any charges for any street, gutter, curb, sidewalk or other work done in the year 2006 on O'Connell Drive in Porters Lake.
