Explanatory Note
This Bill requires that all inspection reports for licensed child-care facilities be published on the internet and otherwise made available to the public.
An Act to Amend Chapter 120
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Day Care Act
1 Chapter 120 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Day Care Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 9 the following Section:
9A The Minister shall
(a) publish on the Government of Nova Scotia website; and
(b) upon request, make available to the public,
all inspection reports made by employees of the Province respecting licensed facilities.
