Explanatory Note

This Bill amends the Industrial Development Act to require the Minister of Economic Development to prepare annually for the House of Assembly a business plan for the Industrial Expansion Fund.

An Act to Amend Chapter 222
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Industrial Development Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Section 4 of Chapter 222 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Industrial Development Act, is amended by adding immediately after subsection (4) the following subsection:

(5) The Minister shall prepare annually a business plan for the Industrial Expansion Fund and shall table the plan each year in the House of Assembly before April 1st if the House is then sitting or, if the House is not then sitting, file it with the Clerk of the House.
