Explanatory Note
This Bill provides that a child need only be five years of age by December 31st in the year in which the child starts school.
An Act to Amend Chapter 1
of the Acts of 1995-96,
the Education Act
1 Section 5 of Chapter 1 of the Acts of 1995-96, the Education Act, is amended by adding immediately after subsection (2) the following subsection:
2 Notwithstanding any enactment, nothing in this Act authorizes the payment of grants out of the money of the Province to school boards pursuant to any enactment except payment out of money appropriated for the purpose of this Act by the Legislature.
