Who are the Nova Scotia Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians?

  • We are women and gender-diverse individuals elected to represent the Province in the Nova Scotia Legislature
  • We work cooperatively to bridge partisan divides and foster close relationships among women Parliamentarians within Nova Scotia, across Canada, and around the world
  • Our mission is to help women and girls discover their potential, to experience the fulfillment of a career in public service, and to create a better society

What is the Twinning Program?

  • Young women representing the Province's four regions will be hosted by the CWP-NS at Province House on Monday, April 29 and Tuesday, April 30, 2024*
  • Planned activities for exploring Parliamentary life include: touring Province House, connecting with women MLAs, attending a Keynote Panel on Responsible Government, learning about policy development, and participating in a mock legislative debate in the legislative chamber**

How to Apply for the Twinning Program?

  • Download and Complete the Application Form.
  • Email the Signed Application Form + Your Resume to cwp.nslegislature@novascotia.ca before the deadline of Friday, January 5, 2024***
  • Arrange for two referees to complete and send the confidential Reference Form to cwp.nslegislature@novascotia.ca before the deadline of Friday, January 5, 2024
