Explanatory Note

This Bill prohibits the charging of fees to users of medically necessary ambulance services.

An Act to Amend Chapter 5
of the Acts of 2005,
the Emergency Health Services Act,
to Make Ambulance Trips Free

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Chapter 5 of the Acts of 2005, the Emergency Health Services Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 6A the following Section:

    6B No fees may be charged to the users of medically-necessary ambulance services, including inter-facility transportation.
