Clause 1 adds a definition for "Seniors' Pharmacare Program".

Clause 2 prohibits the charging of a late enrolment penalty or a copayment to persons enrolled in the Seniors' Pharmacare Program.

An Act to Amend Chapter 7
of the Acts of 2011,
the Fair Drug Pricing Act,
Respecting the Seniors' Pharmacare Program

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Section 2 of Chapter 7 of the Acts of 2011, the Fair Drug Pricing Act, is amended by adding immediately after clause (t) the following clause:

    (ta) "Seniors' Pharmacare Program" means the Seniors' Pharmacare Program established by the Minister under Section 3;

2 Chapter 7 is further amended by adding immediately after Section 7 the following Section:

    7A Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act or the regulations,

    (a) no late enrolment penalty; and

    (b) no copayment,

    may be charged to persons enrolled in the Seniors' Pharmacare Program with respect to the Program.
