An Act to Prioritize Marketing
of Local Alcoholic Beverages

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Marketing Local Alcoholic Beverages Act.

2 In this Act, "local alcoholic beverages" means alcoholic products produced by cideries, craft breweries, distilleries or wineries in the Province.

3 The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation shall, as soon as is practicable,

(a) in consultation with stakeholders, develop a comprehensive strategy for the marketing and advertising of local alcoholic beverages; and

(b) dedicate 50% of prime shelf space in its stores to local alcoholic beverages.
