Explanatory Note

This Bill amends the Veterans' Number Plates Regulations to eliminate vehicle registration fees for passenger motor vehicles and motorcycles owned by veterans.

An Act to Amend
Nova Scotia Regulation 163/2002,
the Veterans' Number Plates Regulations

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Nova Scotia Regulation 163/2002, the Veterans' Number Plates Regulations, made under Section 38 of the Chapter 293 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Motor Vehicle Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 3 the following Section:

    3A There is no fee for an owner's permit for a passenger motor vehicle or a motorcycle owned by a veteran.
