Explanatory Note

This Bill requires any change in eligibility, premiums, deductibles or copayments in the Seniors' Pharmacare Program to be approved by the House of Assembly.

An Act to Amend Chapter 7
of the Acts of 2011,
the Fair Drug Pricing Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Section 32 of Chapter 7 of the Acts of 2011, the Fair Drug Pricing Act, is amended by adding "(1)" immediately after the Section number and adding the following subsection:

    (2) Notwithstanding subsections 6(2) and 7(1) and Section 31, a regulation respecting the eligibility requirements, premiums, deductibles or copayments for the Seniors' Pharmacare Program or any other program for persons 65 years of age or older has no effect until approved by a resolution of the House of Assembly.
