An Act to Amend Chapter 293
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Motor Vehicle Act
1 (1) Subsection 106D(1) of Chapter 293 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Motor Vehicle Act, as enacted by Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2009 and amended by Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2014, is further amended by adding immediately after clause (ba) the following clause:
- (bb) a tow truck at the scene of a fire or an accident or while assisting a vehicle;
(2) Subsection 106D(1) of Chapter 293 is repealed and the following subsection substituted:
- (2) The Minister may make regulations
(a) designating a vehicle as an emergency vehicle;
(b) defining any word or expression used but not defined in subsection (1).
An Act to Establish a Day to Recognize
First Responders Who Have Lost Their Lives
in the Course of Their Duty
Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:
1 This Act may be cited as the First Responders Road Safety Awareness Day Act.
2 Throughout the Province, in each and every year, September 12th shall be kept and observed under the name of First Responders Road Safety Awareness Day in honour of Constable Frank Deschênes and all first responders across the Province.
