Agricultural Marshland Conservation Act

This Bill requires the Minister of Agriculture to take steps to maintain the land link between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick and to spend at least $10 million per year on the maintenance in each of the next five fiscal years.
1 (1) Section 4 of Chapter 22 of the Acts of 2000, the Agricultural Marshland Conservation Act, is amended by adding immediately after subsection (2) the following subsections:
- (2A) The Minister shall take such measures as are necessary or advisable to maintain the land link between the Provinces of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, which may include
(2B) In each of the fiscal years between 2018-19 and 2022-23, inclusive, the Minister shall spend no fewer than ten million dollars on the maintenance of the land link between the Provinces of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
