Explanatory Notes

Clause 1 clarifies that the designation by the Attorney General of a court or courts for the purpose of the Act is not a regulation within the meaning of the Regulations Act.

Clauses 2 and 3 correct errors in Section numbers in the Act and in another Act that refers to the Act.

An Act to Amend Chapter 9
of the Acts of 2002,
the Interjurisdictional Support Orders Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Section 3 of Chapter 9 of the Acts of 2002, the Interjurisdictional Support Orders Act, is amended by

(a) adding "(1)" immediately after the Section number; and

(b) adding the following subsection:

(2) The exercise by the Attorney General of the authority contained in subsection (1) is not a regulation within the meaning of the Regulations Act.

2 Clause 55(d) of Chapter 9 is amended by striking out "Section 45" in the second line and substituting "Sections 22 and 46".

3 Clause 4A(2)(ga) of Chapter 5 of the Acts of 1993, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, as enacted by Chapter 24 of the Acts of 2012, is amended by striking out "53B" in the first line and substituting "53A".
