Explanatory Note
This Bill amends the Provincial Finance Act to provide that additional appropriations require the approval of the House of Assembly.
An Act to Amend Chapter 365
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Provincial Finance Act
1 (1) Subsection 28(2) of Chapter 365 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Provincial Finance Act, as enacted by Chapter 5 of the Acts of 2002, is amended by striking out "appropriated accordingly" in the last line and substituting "submitted to the House of Assembly".
(2) Subsection 28(4) of Chapter 365 is repealed and the following subsection substituted:
(5) Upon the passing by the House of a motion made pursuant to subsection (4), the Governor in Council may order that the supplemental sum be appropriated accordingly.
