Explanatory Notes

This Bill amends the statutory conditions respecting mobile homes found in the Residential Tenancies Act to add examples of requirements that landlords of mobile home parks are prohibited from imposing on tenants who are attempting to sell, lease or otherwise part with mobile homes.

An Act to Amend Chapter 401
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Residential Tenancies Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Statutory Condition 1. in subsection 9(2) of Chapter 401 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Residential Tenancies Act, is amended by adding ", whether by requiring aesthetic improvements or upgrades to the mobile home as a condition of the sales or lease or otherwise" immediately after "tenant" in the fourth line.
