An Act to Change the Name of the Cape Breton Family
Young Men's Christian Association
and to Amend Chapter 115 of the Acts of 1886,
An Act Respecting the Cape Breton Family
Young Men's Christian Association

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 The title of Chapter 115 of the Acts of 1886, An Act Respecting the Cape Breton Family Young Men's Christian Association, as amended by Chapter 84 of the Acts of 1976, is further amended by striking out "Cape Breton Family Young Men's Christian Association" and substituting "YMCA of Cape Breton".

2 Section 1 of Chapter 115 is repealed and the following Section substituted:

1 The body corporate constituted by this Act in 1886 under the name of "Sydney Young Men's Christian Association" and continued by this Act in 1976 under the name "Cape Breton Family Young Men's Christian Association" is hereby continued as a body corporate under the name "YMCA of Cape Breton".

3 Section 2 of Chapter 115, as enacted by Chapter 84 of the Acts of 1976, is amended by striking out "Industrial Cape Breton" in the third and fourth lines and substituting "Cape Breton Island".

4 A reference in any enactment or document to the Cape Breton Family Young Men's Christian Association, as regards any subsequent transaction, matter or thing, be held and construed to be a reference to the YMCA of Cape Breton.

5 No rights, duties, obligations or liabilities of the Cape Breton Family Young Men's Christian Association are in any way affected by the changes of name made by this Act or Chapter 84 of the Acts of 1976 and those rights, duties, obligations and liabilities continue to be vested in and are binding upon it under the name "YMCA of Cape Breton".
