House of Assembly Flag
The House of Assembly flag was designed in 2019 by the Canadian Heraldic Authority. It is flown when the House is sitting.
The mace is the symbol of authority in the House of Assembly. The arrangement of white maces on a blue field alludes to the flag of Scotland, which is blue with a white X-shaped cross, on whith the flag of Nova Scotia is based.
The use of the provincial arms with the Royal Crown indicates the House of of Assembly's role in teh government of the province and refers to the connections between the legislature and the crown.
