An Act to Transfer the Assets
of the Nova Scotia Jobs Fund
from the Department of Economic
and Rural Development and Tourism
to Nova Scotia Business Incorporated

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Nova Scotia Jobs Fund Transfer Act.

2 In this Act,

(a) "Nova Scotia Jobs Fund" means the Nova Scotia Jobs Fund established under the former Industrial Development Act and continued under the name "Nova Scotia Jobs Fund" under the Nova Scotia Jobs Fund Act;

(b) "Nova Scotia Business Fund" means the Nova Scotia Business Fund continued under the Nova Scotia Business Incorporated Act.

3 (1) The Minister of Finance shall transfer all money in the Nova Scotia Jobs Fund to the Nova Scotia Business Fund, whereupon the Nova Scotia Jobs Fund is thereby abolished.

(2) All funds available for the Nova Scotia Jobs Fund, but for the repeal of the Nova Scotia Jobs Fund Act, must be made available to Nova Scotia Business Incorporated for the Nova Scotia Business Fund.

(3) For greater certainty, Nova Scotia Business Incorporated is responsible for the management of the money transferred under subsection (1), which money is to be administered as part of the Nova Scotia Business Fund in accordance with the Nova Scotia Business Incorporated Act.

4 All funding agreements and arrangements made pursuant to the former Industrial Development Act or the Nova Scotia Jobs Fund Act before the coming into force of this Act with respect to the Nova Scotia Jobs Fund, or otherwise under those Acts, continue as the responsibility of Nova Scotia Business Incorporated.

5 Chapter 40 of the Acts of 2011, the Nova Scotia Jobs Fund Act, is repealed.
