An Act to Allow Retired Volunteer Firefighters
and Ground Search and Rescue Workers
to Keep Their Firefighter Plates

WHEREAS volunteer firefighters and ground search and rescue workers provide valuable and life-saving services to their communities on a volunteer basis;

AND WHEREAS volunteer firefighters and ground search and rescue workers deserve recognition for their services;

THEREFORE be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Firefighter Licence Plates Act.

2 The Minister shall make regulations allowing retired firefighters and retired ground search and rescue workers who have served at least twenty-five years in good standing to keep their volunteer firefighter licence plates.
