An Act to Amend Chapter 160
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Maintenance and Custody Act,
to Affirm Grandparents' Rights

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Grandparents' Rights Affirmation Act.

2 Subsection 18(2) of Chapter 160 of the Acts of 1989, the Maintenance and Custody Act , as amended by Chapter 5 of the Acts of 1990, is further amended by striking out "other person with leave of the court," and substituting "or, with leave of the court, a grandparent, other member of the child's family or another person".
