This Bill permits renewable energy providers to sell directly to customers.
An Act to Amend Chapter 25
Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:
of the Acts of 2004,
the Electricity Act,
Respecting Renewable Energy Providers
1 Chapter 25 of the Acts of 2004, the Electricity Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 4 the following Section:
4A Notwithstanding any enactment, a renewable
energy producer may sell electricity directly to a customer.
2 Subsection 5(1) of Chapter 25 is amended by adding immediately after clause (d) the following clause:
(da) respecting renewable energy producers'
authority to sell directly to customers;
