Explanatory Note

This Bill
(a) allows the terms of certain orders made by and agreements entered into with a securities regulatory authority in Canada to have effect in Nova Scotia as if issued by or entered into with the Nova Scotia Securities Commission;
(b) provides a simplified process by which the Commission may issue an order to give effect to other kinds of orders and agreements made by or entered into with a securities regulatory authority, including a securities regulatory authority outside Canada; and
(c) corrects punctuation errors in the Securities Act.
