Explanatory Note

This Bill amends the new Limitation of Actions Act to revive expired limitation periods and remove limitation periods not yet expired in relation to certain sexual torts committed before the new Act comes into force if the defendant committed, knowingly aided or encouraged or knowingly permitted the defendant’s agent or employee to commit the tort.
