The Speaker’s Office was established in 1980 to incorporate the Legislature and related departments into a more comprehensive administration that resulted from the expanded role of the Speaker. The Director of Administration is responsible for implementing and maintaining all administrative programs, policies and procedures, budgeting and Human Resources which pertain to the Speaker’s Office. The Director is also accountable for the payment of all Indemnities, Allowances and Expenses for the Members of the House of Assembly and Members of the Executive Council as provided for by legislation, regulation and government policy.

The Director of Administration is Ms. Deborah Lusby.
