Cape Breton-Richmond Honourable Michel P. Samson (Liberal)

The Honourable Michel Samson was first elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly as MLA for Richmond in 1998 and was re-elected in 1999, 2003, 2006 and 2009. He was again elected as MLA for Cape Breton-Richmond in 2013.

Michel was Interim Leader of the Liberal Party from June 20, 2006 to April 28, 2007 and has served as Minister of Communications Nova Scotia, Minister of the Environment and the Minister responsible for the Youth Secretariat Act.

He is the Government House Leader.

He was Opposition House Leader from 2012 until 2013.

He is a lawyer.

He is a member of the Assembly Matters Committee. He is also a member of the House of Assembly Management Commission.
