Preston Honourable Keith Colwell Liberal

The Honourable Keith Colwell was first elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly as MLA for Eastern Shore in 1993 and was re-elected in 1998. He was then elected as MLA for Preston in 2003 and re-elected in 2006 and 2009.

Keith has owned and operated a manufacturing company for 19 years. He was elected to the Halifax Regional Municipal Council to represent District 3, Preston/Porter’s Lake in 1999 and was re-elected by acclamation in 2000.

He has served as Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture and Consumer Services (now Service Nova Scotia) as well as holding many other cabinet posts.

He is Chair of the Public Accounts Committee. He is a member of the Economic Development and Private & Local Bills Committees.
