Cole Harbour-Eastern Passage Becky Kent NDP
Becky Kent was first elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly as MLA for Cole Harbour-Eastern Passage in a by-election on October 4, 2007 and was re-elected in 2009 .
Becky worked for Nova Scotia Power and later owned and operated a pre-school in Eastern Passage and began her political career as an HRM Councillor. She represented Woodside and Eastern Passage from October 2004 to October 2007.
She is a Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly and the Ministerial Assistant for the Department of Education. She is Vice Chair of the Community Services Committee, and Vice Chair of the Human Resources Committee. She is a member of the Internal Affairs and Law Amendments Committees. She is also a member of the House of Assembly Management Commission.
