MR. CHAIRMAN: Good morning everyone. We have a short agenda meeting this morning. I’ll ask to have the introduction of our members.

MR. CHAIRMAN: We will go through our ABCs and we’ll begin with the Department of Agriculture. Mr. Skabar.

 

MR. BRIAN SKABAR: Mr. Chairman, I so move that Angela Hunter, Arnold Park and Greg Sheffer be appointed as members of the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board.

 

MR. CHAIRMAN: Are there any questions? Would all those in favour of the motion please say Aye. Contrary minded, Nay.

The Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage. Mr. Preyra.

 

MR. LEONARD PREYRA: I so move that Wendy Lill, Islay McGlynn, Barry Mosher and Gracey Southwell be appointed as governors of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Board of Governors.

MR. PREYRA: Mr. Chairman, I so move that Maida Barton Follini, Elizabeth Fox, Bruce J. MacNab, Gregory J. MacNeil and Deborah Trask be appointed as members of the Heritage Property Advisory Council.

MR. MAURICE SMITH: Mr. Chairman, I so move that Donald G. Harding, Q.C., be appointed as chairman of the Nova Scotia Legal Aid Commission.

MR. SKABAR: Mr. Chairman, I so move that Kenneth Zwicker be appointed as a member of the Police Advisory Board.

MR. PREYRA: Mr. Chairman, I so move that Richard MacMichael and Deborah Ann Windsor be appointed as commissioners of the Shubenacadie Canal Commission.

Our next committee meeting will be on February 28th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. We will do our ABCs and then we will have the CFIB, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, regarding labour standards.
